There's a huge misconception out there that charities and nonprofits sole purpose is to give, give, give, and give (like a faucet). The nonprofit groups that I have a membership with generously pour their time, money, talent, and resources into their communities.

So what exactly is #GivingTuesday?
WHAT: #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power social media and collaboration. It kicks off the charitable season, when many focus their holiday and end of year giving.
WHEN: Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.)
WHY: 'Tis the season to give back!
